November 15, 2017 By Team Up 4 Community Leave a Comment

Varsity Coaches Gina Walling and Libby Courtemanche organized a multi-team breast cancer tournament on Sunday October 1st at Veterans Field.  The tournament included nine Suffolk County Varsity FH teams including (Northport, West Babylon, Harborfields, Sachem East, Sachem North,  Commack, Centereach, Rocky Point, and Ward Melville) Each team was given a new name such as Team Hope, Team Strength, Team Life, etc.

Teams contributed in various ways including a Chinese auction.  We honored a former Field Hockey coach and All County Player Katie Hahn of Cold spring Harbor,  a coach many of the Suffolk Coaches know well and/or played with or against.

In total the teams raised $2,501.00.  Four hundred of which was donated directly to Katie and her family.

Our JV Coaches Christina Margiore and Samantha Little organized a group of players (both JV and Varsity) for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk at Jones Beach Sunday October 15th. That group raised 1500.00.

In total the NPFH Program raised 3601.00 towards Breast Cancer Funds.
